Post-Op Treatment

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is the main modality that is utilized for Post-Op treatment. MLD is a gentle manual technique that helps to speed up the healing process by reducing swelling and bruising, removing cellular debris and waste from traumatized areas, and reducing the risk of infection.  

MLD helps decrease pain and sensitivity and is typically soothing/relaxing. This effect reduces client discomfort and dependency of pain medication during recovery. 

MLD also helps break down fibrotic tissue, reduces scar formation, and overall  improves skin texture and tone. 

Other post-op techniques include scar work and fibrosis treatment.
